Ascend Online School (AOS) is a tuition-free public academic recovery program that serves students in grades 3–12 across the state of Florida. Funded through public education dollars, AOS offers an alternative to traditional learning for students who are off track and in need of credit recovery or academic intervention.

There is no cost to families for enrollment, instructional support, or access to certified teachers. However, just as with traditional schools, families may need to provide certain basic supplies to support their student’s learning from home.

• Enrollment and participation in AOS
   
• Instruction from certified Florida teachers
   
• Access to our online platform via Jupiter SIS
   
• Study Skills instruction and academic progress monitoring
   
• Required digital curriculum for assigned courses
   

🖍️ Family-Supplied Items May Include:

• A working computer or laptop (loaner devices are not provided)
   
• Reliable high-speed internet access
   
• Printer paper and ink
   
• Basic school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, and headphones
   

AOS is part of Florida’s public education system and is supported by state education funding. Just like brick-and-mortar public schools, AOS receives funding based on student enrollment and attendance, which allows us to offer free academic recovery services to eligible students.

Because of our hybrid learning model, AOS also provides families with additional flexibility and accessibility, including:

• Fewer transportation-related costs
   
• Opportunities to recover credits while staying enrolled in the home school
   
• Support from both in-person and online instructors
   
• Access to tools that promote digital learning and independent study habits
   

Ascend Online School is powered by a proven online learning platform, enhanced by local school support and face-to-face guidance. Students are enrolled by their home school counselor, and work toward completing 120 hours of coursework per course, guided by a dual-teacher support system.
