Ascend Online School (AOS) serves students in grades 3–12 who are eligible to attend public school in Florida and are in need of academic intervention or credit recovery. All enrollment is initiated by the student’s home school counselor. Families cannot apply directly; enrollment must be coordinated through the home school.
AOS proudly upholds the values outlined in the Florida Educational Equity Act (Section 1000.05(2)(a), F.S.) and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability, or marital status. We are committed to supporting a diverse student population across the state.
Enrollment for the 2025–2026 school year is currently open for eligible students who are referred by their home school counselors. All students must meet the eligibility criteria, including having previously failed a course they now wish to recover.
In accordance with Florida charter school provisions, priority will be given to the following student groups if space is available:
Once AOS reaches its maximum enrollment capacity:
If more eligible students are referred than available seats, a lottery will be held to determine enrollment. All students referred by the posted deadline will have an equal chance of selection.
Students returning to AOS for another term will receive priority placement but must confirm their intent to return during the designated re-registration window. Families will be notified of lottery results or waitlist status within three weeks of the enrollment window closing. Seats not confirmed within the response deadline will be offered to the next student on the waitlist.
